AI & YOU is a teaching kit for grades 6–12, built on workbench learning. On a workbench, you use tools on real work and think about every cut. In this course, AI is one of the tools. Students use it with images, information, messages, plans, and creative projects, and they decide what stays.
They compare AI responses, check details, consider privacy and permission, and decide what to use, change, share, or leave out. At the end, they bring selected work together and explain decisions they can stand behind.
One complete facilitator guide, PDF: Preparation instructions, activities, slide previews, suggested speaking notes, and guidance for adapting the course.
One complete student guide, PDF: Activity pages, reflection questions, and space for students to record their work.
Eight editable PowerPoint decks: One for each session, with speaker notes.
All ten files come together in one ZIP download.
The course is organized into eight one-hour sessions. Instructors can adjust the content and pacing for their audience and approved AI tools while preserving each session’s goals.
Designed for schools, nonprofits, after-school programs, and community organizations. Includes guidance for in-person and virtual teaching. No coding is required.
This is a downloadable teaching kit for an instructor to deliver, not a self-paced online course or student enrollment.
You will need approved AI-tool access and software that opens PDFs and PowerPoint files. AI-tool subscriptions, live facilitation, and student evaluation services are not included.
